RNS-D to carplay
Hi
I have a 2000 S8 with an old RNS-D thru a Bose amp. I would like to replace it with an Apple CarPlay capable head unit from Alpine or Pioneer.
Is the RNS connected to the Canbus, or is easily replaceable?
Is the connection between RNS-D and Bose amp optical and tricky, or is the amp simply an analogue connection, hence capable of working with a modern system?
Are the speakers connectors in a conventional way or are they somehow multiplexed thru the system wiring
