First of all, hello to everybody, I'm new on this forum as I found it as one of the largest all over the place.
Past few days I've googled all over and didn't find any satisfying answer.
A week ago I've retrofited RNS-E in my '04. Audi A4 B6 (EU) and came up with this problem. The thing is that my RNS-E shows inaccurate position. When I drive forward and pass some crossroads they apear to be crossed on the screen just after aprox. 3 seconds. No matter what speed I drive, everyhing is off for about 50-100 meters or so.
Found few other forum posts saying that it could take some time to calibrate the unit itself, but yesterday I met my friend and we made a little drive with his '04 A6 with MMI 2G and I noticed +/- the same lag.
I found on many forums that people have this problem but none has ever wrote is the suggested procedures or whatever has helped them to fix the problem.
So one and for all the big questions are:
1) If you zoom in the map (to the closest possible view, for example - 50m), how accurate is your navi pointer working?
2) If 1) is "dead on" then how you came to that? Have you ever retrofited your unit, did it take some time to calibrate?
Thanks,
Arnis.
