I have used the install notes for a nokia and a A4 and they have worked pretty well for my A6 2.7t. They can be found on Sean's A4 page at the link below. You have to buy the hands free car kit (~$200) and some other misc parts and pieces. I have not run the wiring yet for the install but I have tested it and it works. I think that you will probably need to replace the factory mike, I know I do. I am going to have an installer run the wiring for me. I have the RJ45 jack in the armrest powered and then it goes to a wiring harness that I made. The wiring harness connects to the control box. The installer will have to run the ethernet cable to the control box under the dash from the arm rest, the phone data cable from the dash to the arm rest, and the antenna from under the dash to the trunk where the antenna wiring is. They will also have to install an antenna. Does anyone think that it would be easy to do myself or have any idea how long it should take a installer to do? There are FAQs for this rocedure but they are for the A4 and I have an A6.
I would put the control box in the trunk but I think that it will be hard to find an
extension cable for the phone data cable(strange plug) and there should be plenty of room under the dash on the passenger side.
David

Sprint had a "saftey cell phone" week and had stuff at 25% off. Somehow the regular price of $199 got marked down to $45. WORKS FOR ME!!!!!
yes, I mean for the SCH-3500
also during that week, I signed up to get a free earbud & mic for the phone as well.
I just checked the Sprint PCS site and it's not linked anymore
Mark P
