After much saga, I got my amp. A beautiful PPI 4100 made it too my doorstep. For $480 I can't complain about the small scratches. Either way, its going to power MB Quarts in the front and yet to be determined rear. Also I am doing this all off a stock deck and the blau adaptor in an S4. I am so excited and had to share.

You sound like me! I'm doing the same thing in my A4 with the Blau adapter ( I just got it today ) and my brand new A/D/S 6 channel amplifier! Let us know how it goes! I got my A/D/S P640.2 off of Ebay, new, for $370.

I picked up the adapter myself per your suggestion (awhile ago). Haven't got around to using it yet though. I added a sub to the stock (non-bose) setup first. That made a HUGE difference! I went with a 10" JL box, Xtant 125W sub amp with remote gain control. It went from Audio No to Audi Oh Yeah! I want to do the speakers/amp soon, but there are other priorites (chip, tint, wheels) to address first. I have heard the voltage from the pre-outs on the symphony head unit is a bit low (~2.00 volts max). Not sure that's really the case or if that's enough to satisfactorily drive an amp.
