Default So I got this idea and.... (Navi Plus question)

Suddenly I've been thinking a lot about installing an Audi Navi Plus in my car. Would I be in way over my head if I tried to do this? I have no prior electronic or wiring experience, but it doesnt seem TOO difficult. Am I wrong?
It seems pretty simple, just take out the radio (I have a 2001 A4) and plug in the Nav after running the antenna from the back. Please, steer me away from this if I'm heading for disaster.
Where could I go about getting one (I checked ebay)? And does anyone know where to get the maps? Has anyone done this? How much would I be looking to spend?

Thanks for all the help.

Default It's actually not that bad.....I've installed 3 of them...in A6's.

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/32631/2001_a6_interior_mods.jpg"></center><p>you only change 5-8 wires behind your SymI...the rest in plug/play....plus GPS antenna.

send me an email....and I'll send you 3MB of detailed installation pix. If you can cut/splice wires..you can do this. It's not that bad.

Plus...I can give you some information on some import "brokers" who can get you one of these. Expect to spend $1000-$1500...for this.

See some of these prior posts.

Yeah, that site makes it seem pretty difficult.

Default It is actually very easy to install....

You can purchase the unit and a wiring harness here: www.Nav-Plus.com

The harness comes all prewired so you basically just have to plug the ends in and you're ready to go. It also has a switch built in to give you video while moving.
