A couple posts down I stated that I couldn't get very good radio reception when I installed my new Alpine head unit with the non-powered antenna adapter. I swapped it out yesterday with a powered antenna adapter and I get better reception but no where near the quality of the stock unit. And I get no AM stations which means no ESPN radio. What is the deal?

I'm suprised that it's that much worse than stock.. but I planned on going with an extra external antenna of some sort.

I just switced from a Symphony to a Clarion DXZ745MP. I get MUCH better reception with the Clarion. The Symphony didn't even pick up some channels that I now get clearly. However, I haven't listened to the radio much since I hooked up Sirius.
