Default So lets say that i want to run two subs

usually that means one enclosure that holds two subs. Is there a reason why i would not want to run two individual enclosures?? From my home audio building i would think it should not be an issue depending on the alignment of the speakers wave interactions...

Am I missing something??

TIA

Default Exactly what you said. Potential for cancellation.

Tuning two individual enclosures is always harder than two drivers in one enclosure.

It's much harder to just move stuff around in a car like you do in a home environment because the wavelengths of the low frequency notes are longer than the car itself.

Default I agree with this, but i also feel that once tuned correctly, two different size subs...

...in their own enclosures can sound better than two of the same size.

**BIG HUGE DISCLAIMER!** I dont mean it WILL sound better...and actually the interior airspace of your car might not even LET it sound better. I just know, that in some of my hatchbacks ive played with...ive found this to be true for my ear. But...those were hatchbacks. I'm an experimenter...

Default the issue here is only with signal DIRECTION. if theyre facing the wrong way..or move around...

...your sound will change dramatically.

they might cancel each other out...
