Are they selling something here?? Are they giving you schematics to build your own? I can't find either. Maybe I am missing something.
What I want to do is add a 3.5mm line-in to my stock B5 S4 sound system.
Apparently you can do this from the CD changer input in the trunk.
I have a pinout diagram of the CD changer.
But I have been told that if I just wire the R and L audio channels from my 3.5mm input plug to the appropriate pins on the CD changer cable, then it won't work -- that it must somehow be tricked into thinking that the CD changer is there first.
So, does this require software to do this? Is that what the VWCDPIC is? Or do you just have to wire something to the control line?
Can someone explain to me what I have to wire and if the VWCDPIC website has any useful information on it at all?
I am not interested in providing power or remote control capabilities to my mp3 player. I simply want to be able to plug my mp3 player into my car stereo and play it.
Thanks.

You can disconnect the CD changer cable at the headunit and use a Dice adapter in it's place. It will connect an iPod and it also has an AUX input jack.

Link to Enfig product page

You probably need to talk to the guys at enfig--they know what's available and would best fit your situation.

Any way to wire IPOD input through CD changer wire? Seems like it would be easier than splicing into
