Ahhh, the sound system has finally been installed.
Here are a few pics of the system. It has a Focal K2 Power mains, 4 Focal K2 Power 5" Subs, McIntosh 6 Channel amp, McIntosh HU, Sony Vaio V300G & 7" Xenarc touchscreen monitor in glove box and XM commander.
The computer set-up is pretty cool. It has GPS nav. software, DVD player/burner, wi-fi internet, a wireless keyboard and mouse, and a really high quality 15" display in the trunk. It is quite convenient, as you can use iTunes playlists and have a big music library, use the nav--everything you can do at home, plus its hooked up to a pretty good sound system.
As for the sound system, we're using 2 Focal K2 Power mains (midrange & tweeter) for up front and 4 5" K2 Power subs. They are really small, but sound suprisingly good--like 2 10"s. Everything is run through the McIntosh HU and amp. I'll post a pic of a diagram.
The trunk is custom, of course. The concept was to keep it clean and not too wild--in line with the original design intentions. Plus, we kept some storage space, but that's what the back seats are for. I think the custom dyed two toned leather and brushed aluminum works well. The glove box was fabricated out of fiberglass.
Well, here are the pics. Let me know what you think.
