does anyone have anything to say about a speaker setup for a 96 A4 with out the bose audio system? Should i replace the rear speakers are the amp? any feed back would be great.

if you want to change the rear speakers, you have to redo all of the wiring (i'm not even sure the factory head unit will work with other speakers) because the rear speakers have a built in amplifier. also, for the money, i don't think keeping the factory head unit is worth it. you might as well invest slowly and get a new head unit with the speakers. then get an amp and that'll be good. if you want more bass...get a sub after. honestly, i think a new head unit and speakers and an amp will take care of most of the bass, but if you want more, get a sub. it depends on the kind of music you listen to. hth<p>Chard
