Default Speaker replacement for 99.5 B5 A4 with Concert HU

I am looking to replace the factory speakers on my 99.5 B5 A4 w/ Concert HU. I have read and searched the forum without getting the answers I wanted. I have received mixed recommendations from online and local audio shops about replacing the speakers. My current thought is trying BA S45's 4" in the front door and BA S65RC 6 1/2" in the rear at crutchfield's recommendation based on the speakers' low end power range ratings. I am looking to spend only 2-300 dollars. My questions are:

1. Will these speakers sound decent compared to stock? I am not sure of the ohm rating on the stock speakers (3 ohm on front?) and have been told 4 ohm replacements may not have enough volume.
2. should I try BA S55 5 1/4" in the front door instead?
3. If I don't have aftermarket amp, do I need to try to salvage the rear amp?
4. I read the Concert HU has line level outputs. Can you run this to a aftermarket amp and then to the new speakers.

I do not have much car audio knowledge and could really use some help.

Default You probably won't even be able to tell the difference, just changing the speakers

On the non Bose system the speakers are all 4 ohm. The fronts are powered by the HU and the rears by the puny amp bolted to the left driver. Both have 2 x 20w. You'll need to salvage the rear amp or add your own. The rear pre-outs going to the stock rear amp can be used to feed an aftermarket amp, but you'll need to run new power for pretty much any proper amp you install unless it's very small.
You'd get a better result changing the HU TBH, but to get real quality you need to change both and then run the rears off the new HU or amp everything and add a small sub.
You'll need speaker adapters for both front and rear to fit aftermarket components. If you decide to go bigger than the stock 4" drivers in the front then just be wary of depth and size of the new drivers magnet as space is very limited.

Default I second MacSub's motion...

Get an amp. I had to replace my speakers in my 99.5 w/Concert and it didn't make much difference. A four-channel Alpine made a lot more difference.

Thanks for the info. Anyone have opinions on Polk Audio db651s vs. Boston Acoustic S65RC's?

Also, has anyone been able to fit Polk Audio or Boston Acoustic 5 1/4" speakers in the front?
