Have the Audi Symphony that came with my 04 allroad. Want a fairly simple upgrade in sound. I'd love to just replace to great speakers that will fit easily. Would this help or would I need a Amp bump up as well??

. . . I'd change out the BOSE amp with 2 or 3 decent amps. The JL Audio four channel amp looks nice tho.

The BOSE system seems to be weak in the low-end and high-end (especially if you have that crappy plastic sub enclosure like mine. I'm sure replacing just the speakers won't do you any good.

However, I don't have the money, so I might just tap into the line outs going into the amp and just install my sub box with a new monoblock amp.

The specs for the BOSE system say 200Watts, but looking at the tiny amp in the trunk side-well, those must be peak watts with a clean sine wave signal on a good day going downhill.

Yech! I'll live with it though.

Save your money and replace the speakers and amp all in one go (the Head Unit is pretty good though, and you can probably use the converter wire harness that converts the low-level outs on the back of the HU to 4 RCA jacks).

First, by replacing the factory speakers will help increase your sound quality. Next, by adding additional power to them, will enhance their performance.
