Default Stereo set up (long)

I am working out a design for my stereo and would like some impressions of the following components. Total system cost (plus shipping) is $775.
Head unit - Blaupunkt Miami CD player
Front Speakers - Infinity Kappa 42.5i 4" (55W RMS to be run off the HU)
Rear Speakers - Infinity Kappa 62.5i 6.5" (75W RMS to be run off separate amp)
Rear Speaker Amp - Boss Chaos C250 (75W RMS X 2, 0.01%THD, 102dB Sig-Noise Ratio, 20-20,000Hz Freq. Resp.)
Subwoofer - Infinity Kappa 120.3SE 12" (300W RMS)
Subwoofer Amp - JBL P180.2 (360W RMS Bridged, 0.05%THD, >110dB Sig-Noise Ratio, 10-50,000Hz Freq. Resp.)

Let me know what you think and whether there is anything out there that could be better for the price. The system is planned for a 2000 A4 Sedan 1.8T. I am also looking at the Infinity Kappa 52.5i 5.25" Speakers for the front door, but would need an adapter (i think). In terms of rear, I am also looking at the Pioneer REV TS-D160R 6.5" and an appropriate amp. Bang for the buck is the key, as I am looking at keeping total cost to around $800.

Default Hey!!! A fellow Jeepr...ok X is better than never was

A few ideas

Using what you have and keeping in mind that front stage is key.
I would use the JBL amp run it 2 ohm and power all your cabin speakers...you will loose the fade option but you can adjust fade w/ resisters(if memory servers me correctly)...this is your clean power...remember power does not blow speakers...distortion does...watch the distortion levels...DO NOT MAX THE GAIN OUT!..be conservative...that amp can do 190wpc...more than enough for what you are doing

As far as your sub goes...the Boss is the weak point...I'd sell it off and save for a more robust amp...to be honest you don't need a musical amp to push the sub...all you need is clean power...

if your budget does not allow...use the Boss amp on the sub...just watch for the distortion...the amp will not control that woofer at higher volumes so you will damage the speaker...but as long as you keep it turned down a notch you'll be in good shape

the JBL has more musicality to it and would be wasted on the lower frequency range

Good luck...post how things turn out
