are posted here: https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/930000.phtml and also in my pic poster.
Those are 6 1/2" Boston Pro components up front, which only sacrificed 1/2" of dead pedal space. That is a 12" Boston Pro sub in the back, which functions equally well with the access door on (giving a completely stealth appearance). The head unit trim matches the console plastic perfectly. Still ironing some issues out, but the system design shouldn't change much. Only things that were removed were the Bose head unit and amp. All stock speakers are still there, as is the wiring, for easy re-connection.

How much airspace did you get for the 12"? In my 2002 A6 2.7T, I did the same thing but had to get a 10" so I could get enough air space... Nice install of the sub...Kick panels are also pretty nice too...It's nice that you got to put them in there while still keeping the dead pedal... The trim around the deck looks a little bare, though...

they relocated all of the connectors (obviously), and cut away some of the metal to get some depth. On the driver's side, he reconfigured the hood latch so that it pulls sideways (not towards you). He wrapped the kicks (after building them to a flat surface) in two layers of vinyl because the factory thickness was too thin to support direct mounting.

unless he can make it bigger somehow, I'll probably have to step down to a 10. I already blew one 12", probably because it was too small. I'll update the board, though.

The smaller amount of airspace in a sealed box would cause the "air suspension" to be stiffer and therefore require more power to move the cone. How much less than 1 ft^3 is the box. BA pros are made to run in very small boxes. Using some box design software and the T/S parameters of the BA sub I calculated that a .85 ft^3 sealed box will have a Q of about 1.2. That will be somewhat boomy. Depending on what kind of sound you're looking for that may be what you want. Do get it down to critical damping (Q=.707) the box would have to be >5 ft^3 so you cvan pretty much forget about that. The 10 has similar characteristics too. Higher Q = boomy, Lower Q = dry. Somewhere between 0.707 and 1.0 is usually pretty good.
