Default Sub install on 02 S4

I searched the archives and that helped me a little bit but theres still some gray areas.

What I want to do is simply add more bass. I'm thinking of just putting in a 10 or 12 and be done with it (space is a concern).
My problem though is I'm not sure how I should get the signal to the amp, and also, whether or not I should just replace the stock amp entirely.

The amp I'm looking to get if I replace the stock amp is:
http://www.coustic.com/products/amplifiers/1200Q.cfm
it has hi level inputs so I could leave the stock amp in...or just take it out entirely and run left front and rears on 1 channel parralled, then right the same and bridge for the sub. On normal vehicles that would work fine, but since our speakers are 10 ohm and some have amps on the speakers? is this just a bad idea in general if I don't want to replace the speakers with 8ohm aftermarket ones?

If I just use an amp for the sub what's the best way? I can get monoblocks from coustics which take high level inputs too...so where would be the best place to splice into the system?

I'd appreciate any help,
Aaron
