Default Subwoofer suggestions for $300 on ebay please

I am looking to buy a sub on ebay for around $300. So I am looking at the JL w6v2, Rockford 3115'z, Eclipse'z etc. Anyone used anything in this price range and can recommend anything to me please.

Default Eclipse Titanium.

Although I thought the w6v2 had better sound quality than the Ti, the Ti has some incredible output. But it really does like a lot of power.

Default Find an amp first almost. You have to decide what ohms you are going to run.

the titaniums are usually DVC which is good, but some of the aluminums are Single, so you can't get the large output out of the amps usually.

I'd first find the sub you want then find an amp to compliment it...

You didn't say waht size you're looking for but I'm guessing 12". I'm a big Image Dynamics fan myself. You could pick up a new 12" IDQ V.2 for about $200 from SoundDomain.com or I'll sell you my almost new 15" IDQ V.2 D2 for $250 with a brand new professional-built 1.3 ft^3 sealed box. I love the sub but I can't build it into the side of the trunk in my new car so I'm getting a 12" IDQ to replace it. I just built the new box as a temporary solution to get the low end in my car till I replace it. Otherwise, I can't speak to the Eclipse but JL is always a popular sub...too hyped in my opinion though. Seriously...do a little research on Image Dynamics...

For $300 (or just over) you can get a new IDMAX off ebay.

Default Yeah Idd'z are good by reputation for spl. What kinda sound do they produce?

I'm interested in 12" and over. Are audiobahn amps any good?

Default IDQs are excellent for SQ...IDMAX are for SPL ...

I much prefer the IDQ series for their very small enclosure requirements and SQ but if you're looking for max output and have 1000w to throw at it then an IDMAX might be what you're looking for. They are big, heavy, and need considerably bigger boxes.
