Ah yes...you are correct...

But the IDQ10 would need about the same size box as the ID8. .3-.6ft^3 vs .2-.45ft^3

ID did make an IDQ8, but discontinued it. It was more of a midbass driver. The ID8v3 is all bass.

the idq 8" was mostly used as a midbass for the....

top of the line id horns because they picked up were the horns stopped. you would see the 6" more though because most people had the cd-1e entry level model that didnt extend as low hence the need for the 6". I have see them (8"s) work well in a subwoofer duty situation.
