I am in the process of running new wires for an install. components in the front, and 2 jl 8w7s powered by a 500/1 in the rear.
Right now I have the power wire run and rcas. My question is should I run new wires throught the doors or just tap into existing wires behind the headunit.
I have a 99 audi a4 with the concert non bose system. Im not looking for any competition level at all but want a nice clean sound

there is no real need to go to a heavier gauge wire, as the stock wiring is already 16 gauge i believe. not too bad for a stock system and not worth tearing into the doors for almost no results. I wouldn't bother with it unless you are getting your typical Audi problems such as speakers randomly cutting out.

Chances are that your new speakers will be driven by more than the 10-20W oem outs. Use heavier wire, get something nice and do it all right do you don't re-do it a month from now.
