Anyone have a good explanation with pictures if possible, of the points on the terminal block used to power some radar detector installs I've seen? I know about the Tech article on using a spare fuse blank, but I've also heard of pulling power from another point directly on the terminal block.
Thanks for the help,
-Hokie

If you have the link Mark's A4/S4 site, he has a picture. But it's easy to figure out w/o a picture.
Remove driver side knee bolster.
Look to left of steering column. There are 4 bolts. The one on the left has a YELLOW label above the bolt and said 73X (or 75X). You can tap power right on that terminal post. Put an o-ring on your power cable, remove the bolt, put the o-ring on, and tighten the bolt.

To ground it, run a ground wire over to the fuse box on the left side. The lower bolt that holds the box in is a perfect spot.
