Default Testing RCA's with Digital Multimeter ...

I know it can be done, I need to see if there is output from my RCA's but I am not sure what to set the MM at to test for signal ? Anyone ?

AC voltage, 0-5V - the line-level outputs from the symphony are ~1.5V RMS at max volume

Default If possible generate a test disc with a 1khz tone...

Any AC signal would work but if you get a pure sin wave then that will give you the most accurate results.
