Default thoughts on JL Cleansweep?

After searching the forums....

Some people do NOT like the JL CLeansweep system.

I have come across one for a pretty good deal and i'm trying to decide if I need it for my system that I want to install.

2004 B6 - SympII w/ Bose - want to keep stock head unit and add:

JL 10w7 w/ JL 500.1

will eventually add some speakers up front...

Do I need the JL Cleansweep? Could this be used instead of a Hi-Lo convertor?

is there a harness that TeddyBGame makes for a symphII bose to add aftermarket sub?

Thanks

Default well is it better than a hi-lo convertor?

Like i said in the previous post... i have found one for pretty cheap. $80 but its missing the calibration cd and wiring (can purchase from JL)...

Is this $80 JL Cleansweep better than a $40 hi-lo convertor?

Thanks

You don't need either, all Audi HU's have front & rear pre-outs, just tap the rears at the amp

Default that doesn't work

yeah the problem is that even the line outs have the head unit processing going through them(ie speed volume/bass boost to the rear amp)...I have tapped into these line outs and they make bass way too loud at low volume and pulling it off at high volume.....To test this theory I tapped an ipod in to the line inputs at my amp and the bass is the consistent with volume at low and high volume...I too am considering a cleansweep for this problem....

Default

They are just straight pre-outs, no bass boost and speed volume can be turned off
