I posted this same question in another forum, but this seems to be a better location for this topic:

I have a 2023 S6 and a 2024 Etron Q8 and I'm unable to remove the MMI menu blocks ('Not Allowed While Driving' pop-ups and/or greyed-out items) while driving.

So far I've tried the following steps on the 5F ecu, with no success:
1. Changed all the nhtsa adaptations to Not activated
2. Changed all the blocked menu adaptations to non-blocked
3. For items with menu display Activated, Changed the menu display over threshold high adaptations from Not activated to Activated
4. Enabled VIM with the OBD Eleven App (this does work for video, but menus are still blocked)

After none of those steps worked, I used VCP System VIM Manager to change all the cut-off thresholds to 255.

Broadcast-Website (Browser) cut-off threshold
Destination input cut-off threshold
BT-bonding cut-off threshold
Messaging Text Editor cut-off threshold
Radiotext / Tooltip cut-off threshold

I tried steps 1-4 on the 2024 Etron Q8 with the same results.

So it appears VW/Audi has changed something with menu blocks with the latest version of the MMI.
