Default upgrading a bose symphony to aftermarket amps/speakers, do i want bose setting or non-bose?

stock was a bose symphony system. i have since added the blau preout connector, amps and speakers.

is there anything else i need to do to get a flat response out of the system? do i need to ground any pins or vag anything?

i STFA and am getting conflicting answers. I have bose, am i good to go or do i need to change something.

Default i read that post too, but that is talking about the symphony2 with a CAN bus.

this is why im confused. i wish these guys teddybgame or avincar would chime in.

there are posts out there that say the bose setting will give the flattest response because thats what the bose amps are expecting to see.

Default Hmm...I guess you'll have to let him elaborate on that.

FWIW, I tried for about a year to get the OEM HU to work with my aftermarket equipment and for some reason I just couldn't get it to sound right. It seemed like there was always something wrong with how the system sounded as a whole. That's when I decided to just replace the HU with something I new I could trust to give me good clean sound.

The fact that my OEM HU coulnd't play CD-Rs reliably didn't help either.
