Default Use stock wiring for new sub?

I've been searching the forums all night but i can't find answers to this.

I need two things: more bass, and every inch of loading capacity i can get.
I have two things: a Kenwood active 10" bazooka laying around in the garage and the 10 speaker non-bose system (upgraded with a new 2 channel speaker system in the front doors).

So i was thinking maybe i could tap the Ken sub into the original wiring behind the panel in the trunk? This way it would be easy to remove the sub when i need the space, keep the stock look, and hopefully i would not have to tear the interior down and rewire the whole car?
I mean all the cables are there - power supply, ground, remote...

Can it be done? How?

Default Only if you want to blow something up

You can't use the stock power supply to run anything other than the feeble stock sub, it's about a 5amp cable. You need to run a new power cable, but everything else is there (remote on, left & right pre-outs)

Default Somehow i'm not surprised...

So i'll run a new power cable. Besides that, any idea which cable is which in the trunk?

Default Sorry don't have the pin outs on the new models

It should be relatively easy to figure out by a process of elimination. The remote on & perm live are easily found with a 12v testing screwdriver. The speaker outputs or sub output should be pretty obvious, ground likewise, so then you should have 3 or 4 wires for rear pre-outs (left, right & 1 or 2 screens).

Default Even a relatively modest sub/amp can pull 30amps, the standard

Audi wiring would be fried as soon as you attached the Cap which will pull as much as it can to charge itself up. Power Caps are really a band aid (or a gimmick) and should only ever be connected directly over the battery, if ever connected at all.

Default mine works...

It solved the light dimming problem and thats what I needed without having to gut my alternator and transplant another one, etc.
