Default Using three-way components in a B5

I've got Boston Acoustics Pro Series 6.53s, which use a 1" tweeter, 4" midrange driver and 6" woofers as a three-way component set, brought together by a (rather large) passive x-over.

I figure I can get the 4" and tweets in where the factory speakers are up front, but I'm trying to figure out the best way to get the 6's in there.

I was contemplating on doing it the easy way -- putting them in the rear decklid where the factory ones are. However, this will not be good for imaging.

Has anyone used kickpods or cusomized their doors to accommodate 6" drivers?

I've got a 1999.5 A4 with the non-bose system, so no rear door speakers. It's a 5-speed, so I'm hurting for room regarding a kickpanel install.

Default I have, but I have a tip and so i have more room in the footwell than you do...

I am actually running Diamond Audio's Hex series 3-ways, with the 6.5" in sealed floor pods (they put out a TON of bass b/c they are sealed and that i'm giving it lots of power). anyway, seeing as though you have a 5spd, you may want to run a search on the username "markbradford". he's made some shiny mounts that connect to the door, IIRC. Anyway, look him up and shoot him and email or something- I'm sure he'll be willing to help you out. Good luck!
