Volume output issue on Audi Concert stereo (HELP!)
Relatively new owner of a 2008 A3, which has the Audi Concert stereo. (See below for pic.)
I'm having major frustrations with the volume output on the stereo. For some reason, the stereo outputs a lower volume level when radio is played from the preset stations than from the radio tuner. In other words, playing a station by tuning to it manually will play at full volume... but when this same station is played by selecting a preset, it will play at a lower volume.
For someone who uses the radio a fair amount, this is beyond frustrating. And on top of this, my dealership refused to acknowledge the issue, then a call to Audi of America got them to acknowledge the issue, but to this point their only acknowledgment is that it's a "design flaw" of the stereo and all of these stereos have the issue. And the explanation stops there. I find this an unacceptable response because there's no way a car stereo should ever produce different volume levels.
My questions are the following:
--Has anyone else noticed this problem? If so, what solutions are out there? What other types of Audi stock radios can I ask them to install?
--What manufacturer produces the Audi Concert? (My dealership says it's Harman Becker, part # 4F0035082A) What features distinguish the Audi Concert/II/II+ models?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated... thanks!

Same issue and have not found a solution. Another wrinkle is if I manually tune to the station and then reprogram the preset it will still play at the louder level for a bit, Eventually it will return to the lower level again. After changing stations a couple of times.
