Default VW/Audi vinyl

I Hope you can help me. I am looking for a four- or six-way stretch vinyl that is a dead ringer for the unusual blackish factory vinyl found in late-model (1999+) VW and Audi for my own 1999 Passat project. I would be very grateful if you could give me the name and possible source for this material. If there are any other materials or techniques that were useful in matching the factory atmosphere of VW/Audi, I would love to know!

thx
max

Default Not sure what you're planning, but this might work:

Find any other type of vinyl or other material that will work, and paint it with SEM interior paint. SEM is good stuff, I just had a new HU installed in my A4 and the custom faceplate was finished with SEM. It's not a perfect match, but it looks pretty good. They have tons of colors available, including primers and clear coats. The stuff is made for auto interiors too.

Sem Products
