Wanting to replace Symphony II (non Bose) deck with a simple CD/MP3 deck
Hey all,
I'm thinking of buying a Sony CD/MP3 deck for my B6 Audi (Best Buy), and I was wondering.. Since the installation fee are included in the price of the unit, can I trust these guys to install everything correctly..
Are Audi's finicky about having the stereo system headunit replaced ?
thanks for any info...

I wouldn't trust anyone to install it free, it'll need a fascia adapter, aerial amp, adapter
harness for the rear amp/sub and the B6 uses the CANBUS for ignition on live so you won't get the HU to turn on/off with the ignition, you'll have to do it manually. You can quite easily wire in an ignition on feed but they won't do this for you. You'll also find the rear speakers very quiet compared to the fronts unless you rewire the rears directly to the HU.

Thaks for the info.. I installed with with a buddy this weekend (smart guy)
We were able to get everything working, and no need to re-wire the rears directly to the head unit..
Speakers, amp, and sub working very well, and head unit blends well with car.. happy with the results!
