Default I agree....

It's true, it's silver. But compare to Blaupunkt, Rockford Fosgate, and Panasonic, the finish of the JVC is much better. IMO, only JVC's got the clean line that I want, other brands' got those big fat funky buttons...

I'd like to have a mp3 headunit that matches my interior too, the only one I know is Rockford Fosgate, but then again it's a RF and it's got big fat funky buttons.

Default I beg to differ...

I'd check your speakers and wiring if it sounds bad. Unless you have an entry level model... the Kenwood eXcelon stuff sounds fantastic

Default I like Kenwood and Eclipse....

Eclipse are very clean designs and their multifunction rotary dials help to eliminate a lot of unnecessary buttons. The only drawback with Eclipse is they don't have red lighting to match our interiors..... if that matters to you.

Kenwood eXcelon is great stuff and it matches the red perfectly.

Alpine sounds nice, but their style/ergonomic designers are on crack. Their face plates are nothing but clusterf*ck.
