I have a 2001 S4 without the Bose stereo option. What will I need to fir 6.5" speakers in the rear doors? I know I need the MB Quart adapters and the speaker grills, but is there anything else? Or will it be as easy as taking the door skin off, cutting a hole for the speaker grill, installing the speaker grill, and then mounting the speaker behind it?
Thanks,
Izzy

I'm not sure that the MBQuart adapters will work in this application...
This was done on an A4 but it might work for an S4 door too.<ul><li><a href="http://ctny.audiworld.com/mark/a4/system/new/rear.html">http://ctny.audiworld.com/mark/a4/system/new/rear.html</a</li></ul>

place to mount speakers in the rear door. Instead, they mount under the rear deck. In my personal opinion, this is actually preferrable sound wise, as the sound reflects off the rear window and hits the front passengers over the seat backs. This allows for excellent imaging and sound quality. By putting speakers in the rear doors, they are below the front seats, which makes it that much more difficult to get good quality imaging up front.
