What happens to the trip computer in 01's upon stereo removal?

What happens to the trip computer in 01's upon stereo removal?

I'm hoping just the top part that shows track / station goes dark, but anyone know for sure (in a 2001 symphony)?

Top section goes dark in my '00 and there should be no changes for '01

there's no way to integrate the wiring or program it to say something else??

There's always a way, but no one has taken the time to do so. Sounds like a job for Will/Ed
