Does it just show the channel # & the channel name, or does it show the Artist and Song information as well?

Also, what information makes it onto the drivers information display?

Pictures would be great, if anyone has 'em.

DIS shows channel name and number.

Symphony II you can scroll between:

-Channel name and number
-song title and artist name
-channel category

RNS-E shows all at the same time
-Channel number, name, category
-Song title
-artist name

Standard B7 symphony unit can toggle Sirius between artist name and song, or type of broadcast (talk, pop, rock, etc.. Same info on info center display. Problem is that if the artist name or song is too long, can't see all info in either display - doesn't seem to automatically scroll like RDS broadcasts. Anyone know how to fix/enable this for SAT?

can't fix scrolling with OEM sat tuners. Oh well...

I do have symphonyII I guess, but you are describing only how to toggle the display. If you get a long song name you can't see the entire thing in the display. On FM RDS broadcasts the information automatically scrolls like on a marquee. It's driving me nuts and I'm thinking it might be a limitation of the SAT broadcast, not the headunit itself (cause it does it for FM?).

The sat broadcast only contains:

-8 characters for the station name
-16 characters for the song name
-16 characters for the artist name

The symphony II headunit is capable of displaying all 8 characters for station and all 16 for the song and artist names. There is no scrolling necessary.
