What would I need to upgrade all the speakers in my car to something CRISP.. I have BOSE now (more.)
I'm looking into replacing all 8 of my speakers with something that will produce a really crisp sound. I have 2 12 inch MTX subs that produce plenty of bass, so I want some high sounds to accompany it. Can someone point me in the direction of some good quality/priced speakers and a AMP to match it... thanks!

For 500, get the best set of components for the front that you can and yank the rest out...it will
sound way better anyways...$300 for an amp and $200 for components or somewhere around there. Try finding some used stuff too...

start with the front speakers and a new amp.
for the best sound you will want to run just the fronts and your subs.
if you really want to replace the rear speakers, just do the doors and leave the rear deck speakers out.
get a nice 4 channel amp to run the fronts and rears, or a 5 channel amp for front rear and subs.
speakers are tough, nothing is going to drop right into the stock locations. stock speakers are 4" in the front. you can get adapters to fit 5 1/4" or go custom and get some standard sized 6 1/2"

Agreed...
...even split it, $250 and $250.
Some very good components in that price range. Look for some discontinued models, and you may even be able to squeeze a rear set out by upping your budget to around $600.
