whats the best amp to go with as far as quality and clarity of sound goes... thats not to much $

PPI - forget Fosgate - they've gone the BiWay....
There are many choice - and it all depends on your application, and goal for your system.
I use to be a fan of RockFord, but that was when they had the old-school fin amps like the Kicker. I've still got the Power Punch 250m2 (same as Power Punch 500.2 today). But hate Rockford for the excessive heat produced by their amps.
