Finally upgraded my stock stereo. Now, a minor problem has occurred. Engine noise! Whinning, whinning, whinning...Well, I suspect it's my ground. Where is a good location for a SOLID Grounding point? Is the seatbelt bolt a good place for ground? Please provide with pics. Preferably pics on an A4 Sedan (B5 Platform). Thanks

...used a Dremel to get all the paint off, then tapped it for a bolt and lockwasher that was sized for the 4 gauge terminal ring I had. It just seemed like a better solution. I wasn't crazy about how everything 'sat' when I test fitted at the seatbelt bolt...though people have used that point very successfully so it probably isn't necessary to take the extra step that I took.

Originally, I did drill a hole next to the seatbelt bolt. I just relocated the ground to the seatbelt bolt. Secured it and still have engine noise. What else is wrong? Could it be from the headunit ground?
I've got 2 Fosgate amps and a EPX connecting to a Ground Block.

Yes I did strip the paint and sanded the ring terminal. Still had the noise. So I went to Radio Shack and bought a Ground Loop Isolator ($14.99) and a pair of F/F coupler ($9). After spending less than a minute to hook it up, engine noise is now totally GONE!
Hopefully this will hold up....Thanks very much everyone.
