Where to run power wire thru the firewall?

Where to run power wire thru the firewall?
Okay, I'm finally ready for my stereo upgrade tonight. Got all the stuff that I need. Now I was wondering do I need to drill a hole to run my 4ga wire thru the firewall? Or is there already an opening by the ECU? This install is on a 01 A4. Any commments anyone? Thanks

Search for 4ga installs, plenty in archives with pics and how to
I went through the ECU without problems. Some recommend it, some don't. Alot have gone through a grommet behind the clutch I believe. Fairly easy to run also. Best bet is to search though.

There is where you could run w/o drilling a hole. I'm using it for my boost guage:

I had a upgrade done and the assbag drilled a hole in the same spot, he didn't silicone the hole and I ended up with six inches of water in my backseat.
Sidebar: Took the car to Audi to find answer they told me I had a crack in my sunroof frame. It took some hunting but finally discovered the problem.
