Default which would you get? JL Single 10"Sub or Basslink?

Both the Basslink and the JL 10w0 sub end up at around $300 fully installed. The JL box would be the PowerWedge CS110r at 125W with an amp, the Basslink would be 200W. Which would sound better? i figure that the difference between amount of trunk space either setup would take up would be negligable. f it helps in the decision i have a blaupunkt casablanca headunit. also as a side note: Which amp would you reccomend for the JL sub? thanks for all the help you can give!

Default what is that wattage of that system?

aren't the 10w6's much more poweerful than the 10w0's? also dd you buy the sub with an enclosure or did you construct or purchase one separately?

Default i'd take the JL ..as for amp...

Depends on the budget. Not sure what the JL box costs. MTX makes some great affordable amps and are underrated to boot. I like PPI, Xtant, and Zapco amps personally, but all cost more then many others.

Default i was looking to spend around 300 to 350 including installation..

the sub itself costs 139, and installation will probably be between 80-100 dollars.

Check out an MTX road thunder RT2120 or a Thunder4122 with the better being preffered. Either does 120x1 bridged which is plenty for that sub. First amp you could probably get for $100 ($119 at crutchfield) and the 2nd for $130 ($149 at crutchfield).

I mention crutchfield because their prices are always high.

I think that JL sub and one of those MTX amps will be a much better way to go.

Default Answer...

I have a bridged MTX 152 going to it. I originally purchased the sub from an installer in a ported (huge) enclosure but about a month a go I built the sealed setup and faced it through the ski sack. Much tighter/clear/smaller/better response. I recommend it highly.
