So I went out yesterday planning on spending some money on an amp and some subs. At first, I bought a Kenwood eXelon amplifier (about 300 watts RMS) to match my eXelon head unit (i can open and close a cover that exposes a cooling fan on the amp, and utilize a bass management system--all from my head unit!).

At first i was thinking of putting two JL 12w3 subs in, but that would have been too expensive, so I was looking at two 12w0's. The price was much more reasonable. I got the amp wired up and put them in my trunk. They rocked. The guy at the stereo place told me that he had 2 Xtant A410 subs (10 inches) in a custom built box that were on clearance (Xtant's coming out with a new sub soon). They are a high end sub, $160 a piece, but they had them on clearance for $99 each, plus the box. I put them in my trunk. They rocked harder. I was amazed. They bass was a lot tighter, deeper, and cleaner. So I bought them.

I know that Xtant makes VERY expensive amplifiers, but until yesterday, I had NO idea that they made subwoofers too. Let me just say that...THEY HIT HARD. I'm very pleased. I'll post pics soon.
