Default Zapco 500.1 question

So before i call the dealer up and ask him, I noticed that i have this "SymbiLink" thing to connect my RCA cables to. But first off why and second, do i need a freakin S-video cable to connect the amp to the SymbiLink??

Default Symblink is a balanced line system for minimizing noise.

You'll need a Symblink transmitter to send the signal from your head unit to your amp. The cable is not and S-video cable but a Symblink cable which should come with the transmitter. If you don't use the symblink transmitter, you can also get a special cable that is RCAs at one end for the head unit and symblink connector at the other end for your amp. Zapco recommends using the Symblink transmitter because of the increased voltage output of the transmitter. It will allow you to run your amp at a lower gain setting which will reduce noise and distortion.

Usually the transmitter and cable comes with the amp but if you bought it used, you may have to buy it from your local Zapco dealer.

Default its not used,

but the end that should connect into the amp from the Symblink is square and the amp has a round hole. So im looking at this a round hole and square peg, lol

Default That doesn't sound like the right cable.

Try asking on the Zapco forums on the Zapco website. They have moderators that can answer tech questions or just call them. They are very helpful in answering questions.

Default Sounds like you have the tansmitter cable...

You need the amp side, to adapt to rca's. If your interested in using the symblink I know I have the transmitters in a box somewhere. My system got ripped off, well everything but the transmitters.
