2023 A5 in Glacier White Metallic, which is tricoat. Some companies offer paint repair that contains a base, mid, and clear. Others don't. My question is, are these chips down to the primer or base layer? If that is base layer I'm curious if I just add a mid and clear if it will come out ok. I know it won't be perfect but I want to fill in the gouges and match as best as possible.
I don't know what color primer Audi uses on glacier white.

White is very easy to fix. But I don't recommend the paint pens Audi distributes. They are simply too messy and difficult to use with accuracy.
I recommend this company, especially for white. A darker color, maybe not so much....

I'm going to test each on sample paper to see which looks best.
I would rather use a product with a clear coat since I can sand and then buff and Dr color chip doesn't work that way I think.

I have both Dr color chip and OEM paint chip kit, which looks to be bottles coming today. Problem is this is a tricoat paint with flake, although not heavy flake.

On a white car they would use a white primer.
