Default 35 % Tint On Rear Window - - -

What would be the effect on rear visibility at night with 35% tint on my rear window and side windows? I'm going 35% all the way around, just wondering what the effects are on night visibility. Is it too hard to see, or is it still fine?

Default I wouldn't be concerned. I have 35% all around and visibility is almost the same.

In fact, my friend has 30% and it is still fine. The only thing that is annoying is the drying process. While it is drying, there is a strange artifact created by the defrost lines on the rear window. Most of it should go away from my understanding, I guess we'll see.

Default I had 28% and now 18% llumar centaur and the visibility difference is none

between those 2 layers, and with 28%, I had absolutely NO problems seeing out.

My dad had a dark purple tint on this used maxima he got, not sure of the level, but that was VERY hard to see out.

The type of tint will also effect the visiblity. The centaur is a bluish color, the llumar charcoal would be the same as the centaur in terms of visibility.

Default I've had 30% and 35% on different cars. I'm running 30% now, and I don't have any problems at night

Since your looking out, it's fine. It's the folks looking in that will notice it most.

Default Thanks to everyone. The darkest legal tint in Georgia is

35% for front windows. I could go as dark as I want on the others, but I want an even look. Thanks for the posts.

Default If you're in Georgia, I've got a number...

you can call. I talked to the guy and asked about a darker tint. He mentioned the 35% but then mentioned "whatever you work out with the tint guy." If you're interested, I'll provide you with the name and phone number. Send me an e-mail.

Default Well, according to this source...

it says 32%. You're right! There's not a big difference between the two, I think I'll just stick with the 35%.

http://www.pcisys.net/~bpc/auto_law/tint/tint_ga.html
