Default 4kq white blotches on red paint

It seems whoever had my car previously painted the whole thing except the trunk, hood and sunroof. These have this nasty white haze which does not come off with most cleaners I have tried. Ironically, the best results have been with 0000 steel wool (it's an old car, I don't really care). Is there something better to remove that junk?

Default kinda sounds like acid rain damage

Its really hard to get off,

from what I hear, the best bet is carefully use a rubbing compound and get it down to low visibility / all the way gone

then use a normal glaze / cleaner to smooth out anything you may have caused with the rubbing compound.
