I've tried the product on six different wheel wells and I had a hard time achieving the look I was expecting.
I tried three different methods in applying the product all with mixed results.
1. I used the product as recommended. Spray on, wait 10-15 minutes, if blotchy try again. This method yielded the worst results. I used as little product as I could using short strokes for even coverage. It resulted in not only blotchy areas but the product ran. I used longer strokes but the results were the same.
2. I used the same method as above, however, I spread the product with a cloth to avoid the blotches and runs. It was much better but I was hoping for the shine that the product gives when left alone. Wiping gives more of a matte finish.
3. I used method number two, AND topped it with a fine misting of the product. Not bad but again, it came out spotty and blotchy. No runs.
With respect to durability, it's held-up to a rainy day and a simple hose down washed away accumulated dirt on the wells. It does seem to provide ample protection.
I'm glad I ordered the free sample because I probably would have been more disappointed. I'll still use the sample until it's done using method number 2 but I wouldn't buy the product. One can achieve the same or even better results with PB Trim Restorer, PB Natural Look, or PB BnB, 303, Pinnacle, Wurth, Adams VRT, In&Out, etc.......
