Default I hear it depends on the hardness of the water...but if i just get one wash then I'd be resigned to

use it only in emergencies.

I have used it several times.
as advertised? no.
is it worth using for $20? not when you can only use it several times before having to buy new special soap and filters when i can buy waffle weave drying towels from waynestowels.com for $15 each and they will last years. i wrote and asked for a special price since i was spending so much and i got a good discount.
besides, the autodry was not spotless, i still had to wipe it down, if i am going to have to wipe it down anyway, why not just dry it and be done with it

Default UPDATE: The replacement filtere is $5.99 (10 uses) and the soap is $4.99 for 20 fl oz.

that's right...the replacement filter promises 10 uses. Man, I'd be happy if I get 5 washes. For some reason the filter in the kit is touted as being good for three washes. I don't know why the disparity; probably has to do with returns or something. Mr. Clean only knows, but I am also thinking it's to get repeat sales as soon as possible. One last thing: I predict all the big boys will come up with their own version of this system. Get use to it boys and girls...DIY car washes is changing...I know, not hard to predict.

I am interested in how you feel "AutoDry Soap w/Dry Rinse Polymer" affects the wax, etc.

Default my initial gut feeling is that it will not affect the wax on car

it has surfactants which is designed to create a sheeting action in the water. I don't think it's Dawny type soap.
