...to remove debris that is caught in between the paint and the Xpel film. I was hoping I can just slap it back on after removing the debris. Thanks for any info you can share.

Default I don't know, but if I were a betting man, I'd say no. If there's really

crap stuck under the film, I think the installer should fix it for you.

How do you think they'd fix it? Get a new kit?

Default It definitely cannot be reused, however...

If the debris is close to an edge, you can probably lift the corner, remove the debris, and reseat the material.

FYI, the material loses its some of its adhesive properties when removed. In addition, it is stretched to fit the countours of a body panel and thus will not return to its original unstretched state.

If the area is small, the best thing to do is to remove the material and start all over again.

Cut a new piece of material. It is sold in bulk rolls.

Default Nope, but the place that installed it should have done a better job of putting it down. Take it

back and have then redo it.

Default To remove just grab one end and pull up. Seriously, it wont do any damage.

It might make you think it will but it won't. I have installed nad removed many of those. But I recommend taking it back before removing it to show them they did that and get them to pay for the repalcement.

So, have you installed a kit yourself?

Default Re: How do you peel it off?

The easiest way is to pull up a corner of the material, use a 50/50 spray of water and alcohol to soak the corner and loosen the adhesive. Continue pulling and using the spray mixture. It helps if the surface is warm (but not hot from a hair dryer).
