Claying should always be done by hand. You need to listen and feel the result. When the clay stops "hissing" on the paint, move to the next section. You should also feel a little drag. Too much drag? Spray on more lubricant (or soap). You can't do that with a machine!
I use my PC for almost everything including applying Zaino Z2. But NOT for claying!

hand, but it saves you ALOT of time. It will not hurt your paint BUT remember to flip when dirty and kneed. You always get better results with up and down not circular.
