Is it bad to detail outside using an orbital...and not in a garage?

1. Sun will cause some polishes to harden onto the paint, making them an absolute bitch to get out. Let's assume the paint is cool, you're detailing in the shade, and you're not allowing sufficient time for the polish to turn to concrete on the paint. Move to #2.
2. Debris will land on the paint as you're working. Some can be potentially abrasive. This can happen in a garage, although potentially to a smaller degree. Using an MF cloth to "pre-wipe" and area before polishing is good practice. MF cloths are like dust and dirt magnets, so one pass should remove anything sitting on the paint, and you can proceed.

I guess I just have to be extra careful.
Also I just had my rear bumper resprayed on Saturday. I'm assuming I shouldn't touch this at all when I detail on Friday huh.
