besides porter cable, what are some other variable speed polishers to consider?

there are 2, the Griots one and then the professional level Cyclo
PC is the most widely available and the best deal imho. If you want something that is close to it go to griots and get theirs. Its also a good machine. The cycle is expensive and does have a learning curve to it.
