Default Best way to clean engine bay

Hi everyone

This may seem like a stupid question but what is the best way to clean the engine bay. There is a lot of sand put on the roads during winter here and I am looking for a good method to clean under the hood.

Thanks in advance!!!

Default If it's really just sand

why not block off any air intakes and hit the engine bay with some compressed air?

The area under the hood these days is like an IT department with all the computers, it's really not a good idea anymore to use stuff like Gunk and steam.

Default I have had best luck at do-it-yourself wand-style car wash. I also just used some Gunk degreaser

with success (both foam and gel).

Default Once clean, my bud swears this S100 brand engine restorer is a miracle: >>

It does work great, I use it all the time on my H-D Fatboy engine and my Buell X1 White Lightning as well. Makes the engine look like it just got out of the shop!!!

Not really like an IT department unless your data center is outside with a shed roof over it.
