I just use Dawn in the kitchen sink.Let them soak in the soapy water for 20 minutes or so.Squeeze the soap all through the pads and rinse well.
Once they are clean, squeeze dry into a towel to get all the water out.
Place on a shelf to let them COMPLETLY dry then store them in a plastic bag(Be SURE they are dry or you will have a sticky mold grow) Don't ask me how I know......

Default use a cleaning brush (I got mine from Phil) then the washermachine with some woolite on

the hottest cycle

I used to scrub them afterwards but now I'll put them in a bucket of fairly warm water with some cheapo car wash soap allowing them to soak for a good while and this really seems to do the trick. Of course make sure to rinse them out really well and allow to air dry before storing them for the next time.
